Thank you Jeter for 20 years of doing it the right way. Thank you for giving my kids someone to look up to. Thank you for the memories you have given me. In 1996 you made me believe in divine intervention with Jeffery Maier. You made it easier for me to introduce baseball to my girlfriend (wife now) in 1999. In 2001 in the midst of the pain of 9/11, I screamed my head off as i saw you dart across my TV screen to flip the ball to Posada for the out. I have seen your patented jump throw numerous times and it never gets old. You showed me what heart is when you went diving into the stands during a game with Boston to get an out only to come out of the stands bloody and bruised.. Speaking of pain, I felt your pain as you slid into 3rd and getting your shoulder dislocated in Toronto. I have much more memories to speak off but if i was to write down all the memories you have given me, this would be a book not a blog. See you in 5 years in Cooperstown.
Here’s to you number 2. Much Re2pect. Thank You. God Bless You.
