Note: Please take this for what its worth and meant to be…light hearted.
Growing up, one of my biggest “prayer moments” was when Allan Houston hit a game winner in 1999 to beat the number one seed Miami Heat. I remember getting on my knees praying as i have never prayed. Then this happened!!!
Since then, The Knicks have been pretty much the laughing stock of the leauge. That can all change tonight if a couple of ping pong balls bounce in our favor.
Lord, if your will be done (im begging here!), please let us get the first pick like you did in 1985 with Patrick Ewing…
How did your first day in 2018 start; mine was just fine…. congrats Kirby Smart. One more game to go. SEC. SEC. SEC!!! PJSLB
Allow yourself to be used as an instrument by God. Allow God to place you in situations that may not be comfortable but will provide someone out there an opportunity to know Christ.
That is easy to say but tough to do. This is something that i am dealing with at the moment. Yes, its the right thing to do to put yourself out there. ITs another thing to actually do it. I pray that this week, i have the energy and courage to place my faith out there for all to see so that in my actions, others may see Christ.
Have a great week everyone and sorry to all the Falcons fans out there!!! -PJSLB
Today, some of my students will be playing their first tennis match and im excited and nervous for them. I have a tradition of writing a short note and sharing some words of encouragement to them that is personal and unique to just them. Below are some of the quotes i used this year.
Please say a prayer for these young/future leaders of our church as they play their first match. I pray that regardless of the score and outcome, that they always seek and reflect God’s glory. Im nervous for them!!! -PJSLB
