Prayer request for a child’s lost faith

05/21/19 – P.V.N.C asks for the following.  Prayer for her child who has strayed way from the teachings of Christ.  They has a wonderfuly child who they raised in the church.  This child was active in evrything from childrens ministry to teen youth groups, young adults and even did ministry.  Today, this child believes in God but no longer believes in Jesus as Jesus was just a “good person.”

Knowing that a person once had a relationship with Chirist and is now astray is painful.  Multiply that pain 100 percent and that is how this mother and father feel.  You have raised your child in the church and have devtored yourself to bringing them up in the faith.  Today, you see your child live a life contrarty to everytyhing they have lived and learned as a child.

There is no words of comfort that any person on this eartch can give them.  The comfort can only come from Christ.  Jesus knew that a struggle with finding peace on earth was tough.  So tough that he talked about it often.

What Jesus Said About Peace

When we study the Bible and the topic of Peace, a great place to start is with the words of Jesus Christ.  These passages are some of the favorites of mine and many other people as they speak comfort and courage into my life. When I struggle with anxiety, I look no further then Jesus saying in John 16:33 that He has overcome this world and gives us peace. We can rest safely in our salvation and cling to these words from our Savior.

Matthew 5:9  “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Matthew 11:28-30  Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

John 14:27  Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

John 20:19  On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them,  “Peace be with you.”

Join my in praying for this family.  Lord, we pray for faith, peace, and a calmness in this storm for the mother and father.  We also pray for a Prodigal Son victory for the family. Finally, we pray for this Child lord.  We pray that you talk to their spirit.  The very spirit you entered when they accepted you as their Lord and Savior.  We know you will not forsaken this child.  In Jesus name, Amen.

National Day of Prayer

note: The hastags for this year is #LOVE1ANOTHER

Today here in the United States is National Day of Prayer.  The history of National Day of Prayer begins in 1952 when “… a bill initiated by Mr. Conrad Hilton of Hilton Hotels and Senator Frank Carlson of Kansas was passed (Public Law 82-324) that the President of the United States was to set aside an appropriate day each year, other than Sunday, as a National Day of Prayer.”  The bill was later signed by President Harry S. Truman.

Today, The most visible gathering has been held historically at our nation’s Capitol in Washington, D.C. on the first Thursday of May. The executive, legislative and judicial branches of government are represented, as well as the military. In addition, Christian leaders address the current year’s theme and other areas of interest (i.e. education, youth, families, etc.). Every year, tens of thousands of events are held nationwide. Local volunteers hold a variety of activities ranging from prayer breakfasts, Bible reading marathons, concerts of prayer, rallies, church prayer vigils, student flagpole gatherings and observances held in sports stadiums.

Anytime, we as a nation can gather around an idea and give thanks to God is a good day.

2019 NATIONAL PRAYER FOR AMERICA

ALMIGHTY GOD, our Heavenly Father, we look to You alone for the future of America. By Your providence, You have placed each of us here at this time in history to be in this nation. Thank You for this blessing. Thank You for America.

BUT ABOVE ALL, we thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. It is in His name, we come to You as we intercede in prayer for America.

FORGIVE US, OH LORD, for the sins we have committed against You in America. We are failing You by dishonoring one another through our harsh and bitter words about each other. We are failing You through broken relationships. We are failing You by devaluing human life from conception until death. We are failing You with the division in our nation.

LORD, WE TURN FROM these sinful actions and refuse to live this way. Please forgive us now and help us to choose love over hate, unity over division, and life over death.

WE CHOOSE to live by Jesus’ words: Love One Another. Therefore, upon the authority of Your Word in John 13:34, “Love one another. Just as I have loved you,” we pray for a future America that will choose to love willfully, sacrificially, and unconditionally just like Jesus loves us.

WE PRAY FOR THE CHURCH in America to love one another. Empower each church to be full of love for one another. Ignite a revival of love for one another. Since we are to be known by our love, help us to love one another.

WE PRAY FOR EVERY FAMILY, EVERY WORKPLACE, EVERY COMMUNITY, AND EVERY CITY IN AMERICA to choose love. We believe there is power in love. We believe love is the better way. We believe love is God’s Way. Oh Lord, change families, workplaces, communities, and cities through the power of love. Raise up a Love One Another movement across America.

WE PRAY FOR ALL ETHNICITIES AND PEOPLE IN AMERICA to love one another. Lord, tear down every wall of division and change any attitude that divides us today. Bind up our nation’s wounds and may the transforming love of God lead us to the day when justice will roll down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

WE PRAY FOR YOUR LOVE to surround America. We pray for Your love to surround and protect us in every public setting and private place. Protect us from harm.

WE BELIEVE ALL OF THESE THINGS, OH LORD, represent our deep need for the next great move of God across America. We ask You alone for the next Great Spiritual Awakening in America. Please, oh God, wake up Your church and revive Your people today. We ask You to begin a mighty spiritual awakening in every town, every city, and every county in America.

WE NEED AND DESIRE THIS SO MUCH, THAT BEGINNING RIGHT NOW, we are choosing love and forgiveness, love and restitution, love and healing, love and unity, and a future that will be transformed by the power of unconditional love. When we belong to You, we belong to love. We choose to Love One Another!

IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, the only Savior and Hope in this world we pray. Amen.

Which Spirit Do You Feed In Your Body?

Found this online today and it was beautifully written that I had to share it with everyone. Nothing biblical in it but the message is the same. What you read, write, see, hear, and speak will always live within you. Like the Bible says…YOU CANNOT SERVE TWO MASTERS. The truth in your heart will always win out. Although life is hard, what is more hard is living a life and living with anger, jealousy, gree, resentment, inferiority, lies and ego.

Words and talk that I should live by as well. I really do struggle with resentment. I always replay moments in my life were people have wronged me or have taken advantage of me. I am always there for everyone and Lord knows when something is wrong in their lives, I am the one who is there. In my darkest moments or moments of celebration, I have been alone. What am I feeding my mind? Resentment. What do I need to let go off…resentment.

The Power of a Desire

The power of a desire can catapult you to a very successful in business or a personal achievement. The power of a desire can heal you or a family member. The power of a desire can lead you to a happy life. It’s now up to you to work hard to get you to the finish line.
What to do? Where to start? How to begin? First your desire has to be powerful enough that your willing to work for free, your willing to stay up late and wake up early for it, and be on your mind constantly. If you not willing to sacrifice to earn it, the desire will have no value to you. For example public education is free, but yet many people don’t value it. Why? They did not earn it. Now if you paid thousands of dollars for a degree or a class you are going to invest in then you would want your money’s value for it. Why is that? You earned it. It has value to you. You put hard work in and you have completed the race. Your mind and body is trained to enjoy success.
Obtain little results, day by day, step by step. Why? It helps you see results and lets you know you enjoy what you do. People who are determine to lose weight and tone their body start off with a look in the mirror or before pick. As you train day by day and get feedback you will start noticing results. Results produces confidence, confidence produces motivation, motivation produces joy.
The Power of a Desire is strong. Mix your sincere desire with faith and watch the incredible happen. For me what was my second daughter. My wife in her late term pregnancy started bleeding, spots of blood started to pour out of her. We rushed her to the hospital, my mind thought the worst. But I did not give up. I believed she was ok, I hoped she will be ok, I did not give in to negative thinking. The doctor said that she miscarried and that they could not find the heart beat. So he schedule us to see her primary doctor the next day. Once at our primary doctor office the nurse was going to start removing the baby, but something was blinking on the screen. The nurse examined again and said there is a heart beat. Never in my life did I feel joy, happiness. They said go home everything is going to be ok. What a blessing.
You must Train your mind to want it, want it so bad that even when the worst of the worst hits you your mind is trained to fight, hope, and think as one.
