Laura Story – Blessings

In a hectic season in my life, Laura Story has been a voice of reason. PJSLB

We pray for blessings

We pray for peace

Comfort for family, protection while we sleep

We pray for healing, for prosperity

We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering

All the while, You hear each spoken need

Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops

What if Your healing comes through tears

What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near

What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom

Your voice to hear

We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near

We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love

As if every promise from Your Word is not enough

All the while, You hear each desperate plea

And long that we’d have faith to believe

When friends betray us

When darkness seems to win

We know that pain reminds this heart

That this is not our home

What if my greatest disappointments

Or the aching of this life

Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy

What if trials of this life

The rain, the storms, the hardest nights

Are your mercies in disguise

Pause in everything in life

I remember when i was a child, life was just one long (and I mean LONG) day. Waking up in the morning was always a drag, school days were long, and by the time you are home from extra curricular activities you now have a full night of homework. Finally, end of day only to repeat again tomorrow.

As an adult there just doesn’t seem like there is enough time. I need 30 hours to do everything. I just feel so rushed. It’s in these times the words of TobyMac mean more. Sometimes in life we just need to slow down and take things at face value. Working less on emotion and more on knowledge may help make life just a little less hectic. Be loved and be blessed today. Lauren Daigle – Look Up Child

Just had my first run thru with Lauren Daigle’s new album; Look Up Child. Absolutely…inspiring. It has the hit, You Say but the song that is on repeat now for me is Rescue. Lyrics such as this just put me at peace…

I will send out an army to find You

In the middle of the darkest night

It’s true, I will rescue you

I will never stop marching to reach you

In the middle of the hardest fight

It’s true, I will rescue you

I have a feeling that this album will be on repeat for the foreseeable future.

You can find Look Up Child on Apple here.

Have a great day everyone. May you see the love of God today. PJSLB

David Dunn – Macon, Ga 2018

The WE ARE MESSENGERS tour gave everyone who attended a sense of the Holy Spirit. Held at Northway Church, the setting was so intimate that you had genuine moments between the artist and the audience. Before the headline act of We Are Messengers, JJ WEEKS and David Dunn came out and did their thing!

Out of all the artist in this night, my family was most excited for David Dunn and he did not disappoint. My daughters (especially my youngest) loved the two man set up and using the “computer” as she calls it to make the music. Seems like David loved hearing this.

The song everyone (including my kids) was waiting for was the last song played ; I Wanna Go Back. The lyrics of the song are beautiful. We all had a time in our journey with Christ when our relationship was simplistic and personal. As time goes on, we lost that intimacy.

I wish I took more pictures but to be honest, I was on my feet the whole time just soaking in the moment.

You can listen to I Wanna Go Back here. In case you missed it, you can also read about We Are Messengers and the moment that made everyone quiet.
