Prayer request from A.R.R.

Received this today in the prayer request page.  Please life up P.C. in your prayers.

Please pray for my wife and I. I (have) been wanting another child, but she (has) been afraid/fearful with her high blood pressure (and) that it will be difficult during her pregnancy and put the child at high risk. Keep us in your prayers.

A.R.R., You will be in all our prayers.  This is a tough one because its praying for what you want and at the same time praying for someone else (in this case your wife) to be comfortable with what you are praying for.  Wanting another child is something i can relate to.  I also know how stressful and worrisome any pregnancy can be.

It is in my heart to pray NOT for your wife to change her mind or for you to receive what you are praying for BUT to pray for complete trust and submittal to the will of God.  The bible teaches us to trust the lord in all and rely on his infinite understanding.  I pray that you trust the Lord in his decision to help you have a child (or not) AND more importantly, I pray that your wife TRUSTS the lord if she does (or does not) get pregnant.

Psalm 84:11 
For the LORD God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The LORD will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right.

Please keep us updated A.R.R. and rest assured that you have brothers and sisters in Christ  that are praying for you and your family.

Thought of the night 12/01/16

It’s been a good day with family. Yes, I was at work today but, I am blessed to be working at a place where I consider my coworkers to be family. Today, I witnessed my daughter cheer in two basketball games and enjoyed watching my youngest daughter play (if you call it that) soccer. I also got to spend time with the family eating dinner and watching The Voice.  Even saw a dog that may be perfect for the family. Just hope that she doesn’t get a reaction when they meet. 

Lord, I thank you for a beautiful day with those I love. These are the days that I love where I can be around the people you have blessed me with. I thank you for being able to watch my kids grow and watch the enjoyment in their eyes. I pray for safety for those I hold dear. I pray for my wife and kids. I even pray that when my youngest meets the new potential puppy that she doesn’t have an allergic reaction. You my my Lord and my savior. I Love You. In Jesus name, Amen PJSLB

Watching the Lord use your Kids to do his will

Proud Dad status of the day:
Coming home this afternoon and driving in the rain we see our elderly neighbor raking the leaves on her front lawn. I ask the girls if we should help her and they said yes. After parking the car and leaving our stuff in the garage, we approach our neighbor and ask if she needed help. She had the biggest smile and said yes. She wants the exercise of raking but not the bending and placing in trash bags. I tell her to leave it all there and the girls and i will return and finish up. She says to the girls that this is the sweetest thing she has seen in such a long time.
An hour later (after the girls finished their homework) we walk over to “Ms. Betty’s” house to find piles of leaves. WE find a small trash bag to be filled with leaves and two chocolate bars on top of the rake. Ms. Betty left them for the girls. The girls glad started placing them in trash bags. N notices that the trash bag was getting full and suggested she go get one of our “big” trash bags. 30 mins later as we were done, K screams thank you to Ms. Betty for the chocolate. Ms. Betty opened her front door and had the biggest smile and said God Bless You to the girls. Walking back to the house, we stopped at Ms. Betty’s driveway and said a prayer of thanks to the Lord for allowing us to help. K quickly said “Im glad we got a chance to help”.

I thank you lord for allowing the girls to be part of your plan to help out someone today. Have a good night everyone.  May the Lord bless us and keep us. – PJSLB

Thought of the night 11/30/16

Its been a day that seemed to go by so fast but nothing really happened.  I am amazed at just how uneventful this week has been.  With how i felt at the start of this week, i will gladly take that.

Lord, I would like to thank you for my family and everything that we have been thru to get us to the point we are at now.  Its a struggle at times, but when i see the laughter and love we have for one another and the love we have for you; it is all worth it.

I pray for safety for my family and loved ones tonight.  I pray for everyone who reads this; fill their needs Lord.  Show yourself so that once their prayers have been answered, there is no doubt that it is only thru your good grace that they have received.

I pray for anyone who is suffering tonight lord.  Heal them physically, emotionally and spiritually.  Send the Holy Spirit right now lord.

Finally, I pray for myself.  I pray lord that you continue to use me as a writing instrument in this book of life.  I thank you lord for using me despite me not being anywhere near perfect.
