Lauren Daigle – Billboard Performance and Review

For the record, everyone here at NeedTheSpirit has been a fan of Lauren Daigle since day one.  From her album – Look Up Child to the inspiration of How Can It Be, Lauren has always been a go to when our spirits need “filling up”

On May 1, 2019 something amazing happened.  With just under eight million people watching their TV’s we see Lauren standing on top of a small platform, ready to perform her hit You Say.  What happens next will take your breath away.

It sends shivers down my spine to know that millons of people around the world are listening to this song.  I am not exargerating when i say this.  Despite the Billboard Awards having performances from mega superstarts such as The Jonas Brother and Mariah Carey, it was Luaren’s performance that was the most “Shazamed” act of the night.

What an inspiring night that will be in the minds and hearts of millions of people for years to come.  God Bless PJSLB

David Dunn – Macon, Ga 2018

The WE ARE MESSENGERS tour gave everyone who attended a sense of the Holy Spirit. Held at Northway Church, the setting was so intimate that you had genuine moments between the artist and the audience. Before the headline act of We Are Messengers, JJ WEEKS and David Dunn came out and did their thing!

Out of all the artist in this night, my family was most excited for David Dunn and he did not disappoint. My daughters (especially my youngest) loved the two man set up and using the “computer” as she calls it to make the music. Seems like David loved hearing this.

The song everyone (including my kids) was waiting for was the last song played ; I Wanna Go Back. The lyrics of the song are beautiful. We all had a time in our journey with Christ when our relationship was simplistic and personal. As time goes on, we lost that intimacy.

I wish I took more pictures but to be honest, I was on my feet the whole time just soaking in the moment.

You can listen to I Wanna Go Back here. In case you missed it, you can also read about We Are Messengers and the moment that made everyone quiet.

When the Holy Spirit uses WE ARE MESSENGERS to lift you up (letter from April)

During the WE ARE MESSENGERS concert in Macon, GA a beautiful thing took place. In between sets something caught the eye of Darren Mulligan, the lead singer of We are Messengers. Darren walked over (climbing over seats people were sitting) to hug and pray for a young lady. There was a hush on the crowd and without knowing the details, I started praying for her as well. Minutes later, Darren got on stage and continued singing as if nothing happened.

On the way home, my daughter and I were talking about that moment and were in awe on how the Holy Spirit was in that concert. What was said by Darren to that young lady was to forever be a mystery.

That was until I received a comment on my post from the concert. Turns out the lady’s name is April and this is her story.

I will 150% agree with You! I was at this concert. As a matter of fact he came off stage and prayed for me! He told me I didn’t always have to be strong, that I could let go, that is was in the Lord’s hands! What he didn’t know was I had just lost my dad the previous week. The tickets were given to me just the day before by my office manager because she had something come up. GOD knew I needed to be there! Darren spoke to me with the sweetest Irish accent, and I felt as if Jesus had his arms wrapped around me! This experience was more than you will ever get from church! And I’m proud to have had my daughter and dear friend experience this with me. Later the next day I went Darren a message on Facebook asking why of all the people at this event, Why Me? He said the Holy Spirit pointed me out to him. I will NEVER forget this moment! Watching your video still bring me chills! Cant wait for you to post more!

I have to say this was one of the most awesome thing I have ever witness. I pray April that the moments with Darren gave you the peace and comfort that can only come from Christ. In Jesus Name. Amen. PJSLB
