05/21/19 – P.V.N.C asks for the following. Prayer for her child who has strayed way from the teachings of Christ. They has a wonderfuly child who they raised in the church. This child was active in evrything from childrens ministry to teen youth groups, young adults and even did ministry. Today, this child believes in God but no longer believes in Jesus as Jesus was just a “good person.”
Knowing that a person once had a relationship with Chirist and is now astray is painful. Multiply that pain 100 percent and that is how this mother and father feel. You have raised your child in the church and have devtored yourself to bringing them up in the faith. Today, you see your child live a life contrarty to everytyhing they have lived and learned as a child.
There is no words of comfort that any person on this eartch can give them. The comfort can only come from Christ. Jesus knew that a struggle with finding peace on earth was tough. So tough that he talked about it often.
What Jesus Said About Peace
When we study the Bible and the topic of Peace, a great place to start is with the words of Jesus Christ. These passages are some of the favorites of mine and many other people as they speak comfort and courage into my life. When I struggle with anxiety, I look no further then Jesus saying in John 16:33 that He has overcome this world and gives us peace. We can rest safely in our salvation and cling to these words from our Savior.
Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.
Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
John 16:33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
John 20:19 On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
Join my in praying for this family. Lord, we pray for faith, peace, and a calmness in this storm for the mother and father. We also pray for a Prodigal Son victory for the family. Finally, we pray for this Child lord. We pray that you talk to their spirit. The very spirit you entered when they accepted you as their Lord and Savior. We know you will not forsaken this child. In Jesus name, Amen.
