Guarding my heart today as my parents prepare to leave

My mom and dad have been here for a month and I had a blast having them. I loved the joy they bring to my family and seeing joy in their eyes as well. I am so sad that they are leaving tomorrow. It breaks my heart. Today above all the the verse above really applies to me. I need to focus on God, his plans, and trust that all will be okay. PJSLB

Let others praise you…no need to praise yourself

I absolutely love the book of Proverbs.  Just the place to go to find some great “one liners” on life or pretty much any topic on this earth.

I think to many times we search for the accolades of others.  We live for their praise and acceptance.  I am one of those that do such a thing.  I really need to focus on pleaseing our God and not man.  The thing is that is much easier said than done.  Be Blessed Everyone…Amen

Praise should come from others not yourself

It’s great to recognized for something great you have done. Personally, I know how upsetting it is to have your contributions not be acknowledged by your peers. Proverbs 27:2 is a great reminder that there is not need to boast what you have done. PJSLB

God showing me I am on the right path…

Was not really looking forward to this week. With my teams seasons starting and the beginning of the school year, it’s been one long hectic week.

I arrived in the morning to my office, turned on my lights and computer, and began focusing on my day and the potential land mines that lay ahead. As I looked down on my desk calendar, I saw two notes that just made me day.

It’s amazing how just 11 words can change how you feel. I thank you lord for these words and the gentle reminder that though i am tired, I need to always be on my game. I am serving you and I am you ambassador while I am here on earth.
