Giving thanks on Thanksgiving

As we approach thanksgiving, writing like this from Joel Osteen remind me what’s really important. Too often, i am worried about my situation and I don’t thank God for what I am already blessed with. As we approach thanksgiving, I thank you lord for everything especially for my forger through the cross. Happy thanksgiving… PJSLB

Give Thanks!

Today, take time to reflect on and give thanks to God for all of His blessings in your life. Whether you are eating turkey, playing games with your family, watching football or visiting a friend, remember to take time to focus on God’s goodness. Count your blessings and notice all the grace, favor and love that God has given you. Psalm 95:2 says to “come before His presence with thanksgiving…shout joyfully to Him with psalms.”

No matter the circumstances in your life, give thanks and praise to God for all that He has done. Remember how good He is and that His love will endure forever. The Bible says that you show your love for God through your actions toward other people. Reach out to those around you this holiday season and share His love and forgiveness with them. You are blessed to be a blessing to others!

A Prayer for Today

“God, no matter what the circumstances, I always give thanks to You for the blessings in my life. Help me find the time to serve others during this busy season and, in doing so, draw closer to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Any Day Now Lord.

Up at night with thoughts about promises and conversations I have had with the Lord. I feel like a 5 year old begging and pleading with his/her parent. “I want it now!” “I’ll behave as soon as I get it.” “This will be the last time I ask for something.” I hear these lines on a regular basis from my kids. I tell them to be patient and I know what is good for them. Now the shoe is on the other foot for I am saying these same phrases to my Heavenly Father. His answer are similar. Be patient and trust his timing. How much more does the Lord our God love me in comparison to my love for my kids?

God bless you all. Wait for his timing.

Just A Little Christian Encouragement

2015/01/img_5179.jpg

As a Christian we have the advantage of having our savior by our side. Yet, to many times we always focus on the bad and negativity in our life. We replay hurts that we have experienced and by doing so we relive the pain of that moment. Instead of focusing on the painful past, why don’t we focus on today. Today is another day given to us. Today is a day that the lord walks side by side with us…even if we do not always feel him. Just the mere fact that our end game is already written should be enough for you to say that…I am blessed today.
