Strategic Role of Prayer

I found this on my phone and to be honest, I don’t know where it’s from. I could of written it, it could of been a lecture at a church, school, or seminar. I do know that it’s message is powerful and is something that can benefit someone out there. God Bless. PJSLB

The Strategic Role of Prayer

Luke 6:12-13

“One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them, whom he also designated apostles:”

Where does our strategic direction come from?

Where do we receive counsel for the most important decisions that we make?

Jesus spent the night praying to God. Prayer was two-way communication for Jesus, where the Father provided a relationship in which Jesus could process his decisions and receive counsel.

Are we fully utilizing the potential of prayer to sort through our issues and receive God’s counsel and perspective?

The most important decisions leaders make concern the people with whom they will chose to surround themselves. Prayer is one of the most under-utilized resources God has given us for discernment, decision making and strategic planning.

Lord Jesus, I desire a deeper level of dependency on you through prayer. There are more strategic decisions that need your insight, direction and counsel. Thank you for the Holy Spirit and your invitation to pray.

The times God wants you to be still

We are wired for movement. Our society tells us if we want something to happen, we should not rely on anyone but ourselves. It is that mindset that makes this verse so hard to follow. There comes a point in our life when enough is enough and we need to let go. When that time comes, heed the advice of psalms; be still and know that God is an over all. PJSLB

Years of praying leads to this week

I have been praying for this moment for years. It has been a constant back and forth with God. We had a lot of false starts and false hopes. Each heartbreak was a lesson and my faith remained strong. It all comes down to this week. An unexpected opportunity at a time of need. The world says it’s not possible but the lord has already spoken victory into my heart. Keep you updated. Please pray for me! God bless. PJSLB

Be blessed and bless others!

Good afternoon to all! I pray that our Lord continues to bless each and everyone of you. As for me, I am still going through my journey. Life is full of ups and downs but lately, it’s been mostly down for me. The words today from Pastor Rick Warren reminds me that it isn’t about me and my struggles in life. It is about Jesus and what I can do for my God that has done everything for me. You may say “how can he say that when he just said that life has been a struggle” and you would be right to question me. My response is this… no matter how low I get, someone is going thru something worst than me. No matter how lost i feel in this world, in Jesus I have hope. I am secured. I am guaranteed. I pray that we all have this feeling with Christ.

If you have any questions about ANY of this, please ask them. We are all here to bring God the glory. Have a great rest of the day. In Jesus name… PJSLB
