As a Christian, the best advice I ever received, was not treating prayer as some grand celebration, but as a simple conversation with someone who cares about you
Know your value as a friend
As a person who follows Jesus, I believe in loving all and being a friend to those in need. That need can be spiritual, social, and in some instances financial. What I have been learning is that you can only be a friend to those who don’t value you for so long. Eventually one of two instances will happen. 1. You continue to help, get taken advantage off and your mental health deteriorates. 2. You cut ties, wish them well and move on. For my sake I have begun choosing number 2. I pray you do as well.
