2018 Spring Break – Destin, Florida

In a world were our kids are using their handheld devices everyday, I take it as a blessing to take these trips and just spend face to face time with them. This year, we decided on Destin, Florida. We have family flying in from L.A. for Grandparents Day at FPD and they wanted to visit extended family in the area. People ask me if i ever do anything besides posting about my faith or how i practice my faith. Here are some pics from the trip. Have a blessed week with family and friends. UPDATED REGULARLY.

Day 3

Stewardship Rewarded

“So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’…The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’ ‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’”

Luke 19:13, 16-17

Good stewardship of our spiritual gifts and financial resources will be rewarded in God’s kingdom. There is accountability for what God has entrusted to us. We will all have our conversation with the King. Knowing what we have been given is our first priority. Living with kingdom values as we invest our resources, relationships, gifts and capacity into Christ’s mission and commission must be our priority! The reward for good faith-filled stewardship of what we’ve been given (health, family, vision, faith and so much more) is much greater than we ever imagined. Jesus calls us to lead cities in his kingdom. No assignment is too small to ignore good stewardship.

Lord Jesus, thank you for all I’ve been given. I desire to live with risk-taking obedience as a faithful steward, for your glory.

How a Christian shines like a star

Lord, i pray that you use our lives to show others your love and grace. May those who observe our lives see you living within us. In Jesus name, Amen. PJSLB

Why it’s hard to forgive?

I have such a vivid memory. I remember times and events pretty well. I love replaying in my mind good times and I love the feeling it brings in me. The same is said about time when someone has done me “wrong”. I replay the moment over and over to remember what was done to me and to motivate me. But what does God say about this?

I ask forgiveness often from God; it’s time I remember that and start forgiving people who have wronged me. PJSLB
