I was in the 6th grade and i gave my life over to Jesus.  It was a scary time because i was afraid to tell my parents that I am now a Christian.  Actually, it wasn’t until college when I was finally able to tell them about my faith in Christ.  I cannot tell you the exact time and day that i was saved.  I can tell you what was the first verse that i ever memorized.  Back then (and today) this was a verse that spoke to me.  It was everything that i was looking for all nicely wrapped up in just a few words.  It was a reminded that with Jesus ANYTHING is possible.  It spoke to the inner child in me.  A child seeking something from his father.  Recently, my daughter asked me what was my favorite bible verse.  With that question, Matthew 7:7 and how it held my faith together at such a young age was brought back into the family.

What’s your favorite bible verse?

Why should I worry

As a Christian, why should I let life’s trivial problems get to me? I am a visitor to this place for my home is not here but in heaven. Why worry about something that the lord has control over?

Philippians 4:6-7
New International Version (NIV)
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Christians know the truth, yet do not follow

As Christians, we know where our ultimate destination is…HEAVEN.   We believe that by accepting Jesus Christ as our lord, song of the living God, and through him our sins are forgiven.  HEAVEN IS OURS!!!

My question is..If we know this, why do we still love living an earthly life? We worry about making our life fomfortable here, yet neglet our life to come.  I do that everyday.   I worry about earthly problems so much.  My priorities are not in order.  I am working to hard for my earthly life and not hard enough on my heavenly life.  ARE YOU DOING THE SAME THING?

Do not store up for yourselves treasure on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where theives break in and steal.  But store for yourselves in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, ahd where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will follow

Matthew 6: 19-21

In Jesus we are all cleansed,

AMEN

Are you Anxious Pt. 2

7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The Lord our Savior offers peace!!!!  Through Jesus all is attainable.  Reading the bible, we can see that through Jesus, anything is possible.  The same thought process can be used in terms or peace and understanding in terms of our emotions.

When we have problems we rationalize a solution.    We think of ways to “get out of the situaion”.  By offereing up our  concerns to Jesus, we leave it up to him.  How great is it to know that we can offer up our concerns to our Savior, and he will put them to ease.  How many nights have you spent tossing and turning because of a problem? Money, Relationships, Children, Work, School, etc. etc.  We have all had those kinds of nights.  In fact, I had one just last week.  I can vividly remember dropping on my knees and yelling our the lords name.  I offered up the problem to him and told him, I leave it all up to you.  TRUST IN THE DECISIONS THE LORD MAKES!!!  We trust him in good time, we must learn to trust him in bad times!!!

Now mind you, that the solution Jesus has, may not be what you want.  It may be the total opposite.  We must trust that the decisions the Lord has made is with our best interest in hand.  Like the verse says; …the peace of God…transcends all understanding…

Glory to the one who deserves all praises…JESUS!!!
